Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium was introduced by the Government to provide additional funding support for Pupils who have Free School Meals, Pupils in Care and Service Children.
The extra funding is to support schools to 'narrow the gap' that exists between pupils from disadvantaged and more affluent backgrounds. Funding is based on children registered for a free school meal, Service children and children who have been in care for more than six months.
Whilst schools are able to spend the Pupil Premium funding as they decide is appropriate, schools must provide a statement on how this money has been spent, including online to Parents/Carers. Please see our 'KINS Pupil Premium Strategy Statement 2025-28' attached below.
In 2025/26 the funding is: Pupil Premium £1,515; Looked After Child £2,630; Service child £350.
The percentage of our pupils known to be eligible in 2025/26 is 23%.
If you are in receipt of Income Support, Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit please contact us so we can access the extra Pupil Premium funding for your child.
